Sonji Davis is an accomplished Programs Coordinator skilled in administration of workforce development system policies, cross-sector partnerships with employers, educational institutions, community-based organizations, and local, state, and federal partners.
She comes to the Governor's Workforce Development Board from Workforce Development, Inc. (WDI), serving the Southeast Minnesota Region. Her previous positions include Adult and Dislocated Worker Programs Coordinator, Area Manager for Rice and Steele Counties, and Career Planner.
Sonji is affiliated with many business and community organizations and initiatives for youth and families. She contributed to WDI's Employment and Equity Task Force and led several committees/task forces on Employer Engagement, Manufacturing, and Women and Minorities.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
