Our Assistive and Adaptive Technology Unit develops, coordinates, and provides technology services that help people on the job, in school, or at home. The diverse array of products includes:

• Electronic magnifiers
• Speech software on your computer screen
• Scanners that convert the printed text to speech
• Displays that allow you to read what's on the screen of your phone or computer in braille
• Portable notetakers which combine an array of functions in one compact device
