The relationships we’ve developed with the placement partnerships and agencies have been fabulous. What I really appreciate is that the employment specialists have taken the time to understand our business needs and know what we are looking for in candidates. We get the best of the best when we get candidates. It’s really an effective system and it’s made recruiting and hiring so much easier.
Building these relationships is a win-win for both the candidates and the businesses.
I appreciate that I can reach out to them (the VR community) to get a pool of candidates of my own without waiting. I know the candidates are prescreened because the employment specialists know what our jobs entail and the candidates have the basic skills. With the current job market it’s evident to me as a recruiter that you really need these partnerships.
I don’t think of the individuals as having a disability. They are prescreened and can meet our expectations, so for us it’s just another candidate. For me it is also very rewarding to be able to employ people who really want to be employed.
