Youth Summer Employment During the Pandemic Recession
The pandemic recession hit employed youth hard in 2020 because youth are most likely to be employed in customer facing service sector jobs, the very jobs that put workers and customers at highest risk of infection and the jobs most likely to be impacted by various executive orders to temporarily reduce activity in these sectors of the economy to slow the spread of COVID-19.
