The Office of Child Care Community Partnerships is a newly created office at the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). The goal of the Office of Child Care Community Partnerships is to support, coordinate, and promote investments that increase the quantity of quality child care within the state and improves accessibility to child care for underserved communities and populations in Minnesota. The Office will advocate for and promote access to child care by connecting employers, businesses, communities and child care providers with resources, expertise and opportunities to invest in child care capacity in their communities. This work will be done in coordination with other state agencies and local partners to ensure resources are targeted where they are needed most and where the resources will deliver the most impact for communities across the state. Child Care Economic Development and Greater Minnesota Child Care Facility Grants are grant programs that provide opportunities to retain or expand child care across the state and are available through the Office of Child Care Community Partnerships.
