The purpose of this National Disaster Grant is to provide disaster-relief and humanitarian assistance employment, as well as employment and training services, as appropriate, to minimize the employment and economic impact of COVID-19. The funds will be used to serve Dislocated Workers and pay the wage and benefits for temporary disaster-relief employment. As the state continues to open-up, employers have a great need for workers to assist individuals impacted by COVID-19 and/or conduct services and activities to maintain the health and safety of the community.
This program is fully funded by the U.S. Department of Labor in the amount of $2,535,795 through June 30, 2022.
