Since 2010, Minnesota companies like Living Greens Farm in Faribault and 75F in Burnsville have attracted more than $400 million in private investments through the Minnesota Angel Tax Credit Program.
While available tax credits are nearly depleted for 2017, there’s still time for investors and new businesses to participate. The program has $2.7 million in tax credits remaining for investments in startup businesses owned by women and people of color, or businesses located in Greater Minnesota.
Any of those credits that are still left after Sept. 30 will be available for investments in all qualified startup businesses in Minnesota. DEED will begin accepting tax credit applications for investments in those businesses on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
The Angel Tax Credit Program ends on Dec. 31, 2017. No credits will be available after that date.
Check out the Angel Tax Credit Program for more details, including frequently asked questions, up-to-date funding availability, application forms and reports.
