Minnesota's senior care providers are in critical need of workers to help care for some of our state's most vulnerable residents during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
People looking for rewarding and essential work now and interested in making a real difference in the lives of others are encouraged to participate in a CareerForce Virtual Career Fair next Monday, May 11 from 10:30 to 11:30 am.
Participants will find out about promising career path opportunities available immediately with training for many entry-level positions provided by employers, no previous senior care experience necessary.
Seniors in a variety of living settings throughout the state need dedicated caregivers who have a heart for helping older Minnesotans and desire to be a health care hero during these difficult times.
Participants will hear from Minnesota's two leading senior care industry associations, Care Providers of Minnesota and LeadingAge Minnesota.
In addition, five large, statewide employers – Cassia, Ebenezer Care, Ecumen, Monarch and Presbyterian Homes – will highlight their current openings, introduce career seekers to their hiring process, answer questions, and host follow-up conversations immediately following the event.
All those interested in beginning or continuing a rewarding career working with older adults are encouraged to attend. Registration and internet access is required to participate in the Virtual Career Fair. More information can be found on CareerForceMN.com.
For those not able to participate in the Virtual Career Fair and for anyone looking for more information on senior care careers, the website www.caringcareersstarthere.com is a great way to explore current career opportunities. Caring Careers Start Here began as a campaign to recruit health care students into senior care careers, but is currently focused on helping retired workers, workers who have been laid off, students, and other job seekers find rewarding work where they are urgently needed.
See today's CareerForceMN.com blog post for more information for career seekers exploring work in senior care and for senior care employers looking to hire them.
